Well, it’s happening again: unexpectedly, I am going to go on another Earthwatch trip this summer to do science research. A former student of mine, Lilly, asked if I would do a trip with her, and of course I said yes, and of course, she choose…..THE TUNDRA. We are going to be going here:
Travel starts August 16th, 3 flights to get up to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. We spend the night in Whitehorse, because at 9:30am the next day we need to fly a PROP PLANE to our final destination in the MacKenzie Mountains. This trip is definitely out of my comfort zone, but it is in an ecosystem I have never been to, and I’m going to make the most of it!!
